This Cajun Style Bratwurst Recipe is a gluten-free spicy dish that is full of flavor and is a one-dish meal that includes brats, potatoes, and corn!
I absolutely love one-dish oven meals for dinner! You just put all of the ingredients together in a baking dish, put it in the oven, and soon after, dinner is served! I mean how easy is that!
Could I use smoked sausage in this dish instead of the bratwurst?
Yes, you definitely could. It be a yummy twist on this dish!
What makes sausage different than bratwurst?
Brats are made with pork and/or veal. They have a distinct combination of seasoning and it’s considered a fresh link sausage.
If I wanted to make the brats by themselves, what other dishes would work?
Of course there is nothing better than a hot and juicy brat right off of the grill! Doesn’t the grill just make everything taste better?
Here are a few other side suggestions:
Corn on the cob
Cabbage
Sauerkraut
German Potato Salad
Spaetzle
What beverages go good with brats?
If you are an adult, then a beer may be just the drink you are looking for! A few other drink suggestions are:
Wine (Red or White)
If you are looking for a tasty dinner idea using sausage; consider our Tuscan Potato and Sausage Soup!
