My family loves the holidays. We love getting together with the whole family -Around a table of tasty food, Reminiscing of Holidays Past… Sipping on a glass of wine… It is truly a scene from a movie. So to keep this tradition going, we all bring a new flavor to the party. Thanks to Wilson Creek Winery, my family gets to sample the Almond Champagne.
A little about the Almond Champagne: This gold-medal winning champagne is also referred to as the “OH MY GOSH” champagne. This white sparkling wine is naturally fermented, with just a hint of pure almond added so it’s guaranteed to dazzle your guests. A must-have champagne to make any occasion extra special. Great with desserts, cuddling, hot tubs, picnics, fireplaces, brunches, and parties. (Almond Champagne)
With me being Pregnant, I didn’t get to participate in the festivity tasting this year. But it didn’t stop the rest of the family from celebrating! Wilson Creek Sent me a bottle of Almond Champagne and a bottle of Decadencia to try. Everyone was excited to try the new flavors. All the ladies in the family were unsure what the Decadencia was, so I looked it up on the Wilson Creek Winery website: “Made from century-old “Old Vine” Zinfandel with a touch of natural chocolate to make it even more delectable.” As soon as I told them that it was labeled as a Chocolate Port. That got everyone’s attention. We knew this would be perfect for desert.
I was sent a recipe to use both the Almond Champagne and the Decadencia together (Almond-tini). To create an Almond-Tini, you use 2 parts Almond Champagne and 1 part Decadencia. It is always easier to measure your The Almond Champagne was a little sweeter than most expected it to be. But once you add the Decadencia to the mixture, it gave a different flavor. This is what they had to say about the Almond-tini: “Loved the Almond Flavor!” “Not Heavy!” “Light and Refreshing!” “Decadencia adds sweetness to the drink” “Combination of the Almond Champagne and Decadencia make this Champagne not dry”
