As they say, “the best things in life are free”, and this applies to many of our local parks, playgrounds, beaches, and rec-centers. These places bring us so much joy, and now it’s time to give back with Huggies!
From April 20th until June 25th, Huggies will be accepting all selfies of you and your baby with the hashtag #UltraHug, and featuring them in a collage on the campaign landing page. On July 6th, voting will begin to narrow down the 20 finalists to 10 winners who will win a $2,000 grant from Huggies for their nominated community initiative,
How to Enter the #UltraHug Selfie Contest

This Mamas Life is nominating The Rotary Club of Macomb, MI. The Rotary Club of Macomb is part of an international service organization whose stated purpose is “to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.“
Rotary’s primary motto is “Service Above Self“. The Rotary Club of Macomb was chartered in 2007 and its like-minded people living in the Macomb area help support Rotary and the other charities in their area. Rotary Members Get involved in their communities, connect with other professionals, Share their time and experience with young people, Support global causes (such as eradicating polio), and using their skills to help others.
Earlier this year the Rotary Club joined with local efforts to provide a local family with clothes, diapers and food, as well as personal care items, on the family’s behalf when their entire home was destroyed by fire. That family who had escaped with nothing more than the pajamas they were sleeping in was able to furnish a rental home for themselves and their twin 11 month old daughters.
Before that they “adopted” several local families for Thanksgiving and Christmas. They sent full Thanksgiving dinners to each family and then at Christmas, they once again sent full dinners as well as presents for each person. On top of that they purchased clothing, diapers, blankets, food, etc and donated them to those same families as well as local shelters and community churches.
