With having a little one on the way, I knew I wanted to make sure that I had Bath wash that was going to work well with a baby’s sensitive skin.    Even this mama tries to find body/bath wash that is good for sensitive skin.  I, myself, have patches of Psoriasis. So I try to not use anything that is too harsh on my skin.   So when The wonderful people at Exederm sent me a bottle of their Baby Wash to try on Peanut.

A little about Exederm :

  • NO FRAGRANCE
  • NO PARABENS
  • NO LANOLIN
  • NO PROPYLENE GLYCOL
  • NO COLOR OR DYES
  • NO (SLS) SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE
  • NO (CAPB) COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE
  • NO PHTHALATES

Since I received this before Peanut arrived, I tried it out myself.   One thing that I liked the most about this was the lack of fragrances.  Especially when pregnant – if things were too strong smelling I would gag (Shampoo and Body Wash included).  And I know when I use this on peanut, that it wont overpower her natural smell.  Every baby has their own unique scent – and I hated loosing that scent so quickly with my son – because we were always smelling whatever baby wash was used last.    This Wash is actually thinner than most other body wash that I have used.  I had to be careful when I first used it – to make sure that I didn’t use too much of it.    After suddsing up my sponge, and washing up, I realized that it doesn’t leave a film on your skin – like other soaps can.

Update:  Yea! Since Peanut is now here, I can try it on her!  I am completely lucky that Peanut doesn’t hate baths.  We gave her a bath the other night – in a regular baby bath tub – and she sat there so content!  (Thats my girl!)   With any new mom, I was a little nervous about how it would react with her skin (I know, I know, its made for sensitive skin, but lets say I’m a little over cautious).   There was no reaction to this wash – and she still had her own scent to her – not an artificial scent!

Make sure to take a moment to follow Exederm on Facebook .
