This year hubby and I have been talking about trying to do something different with the kids this summer. We have done the typical Michigan Vacation spots… Gone to Ohio… All the way to Florida… But I think this year we are wanting to do something a little different. Something that is fun, yet educational. So, I’ve been thinking about take a road trip to Vernal, Utah. Imagine now, if you could just take a few steps back into time. Not 100 years…. Not 1000 years… but over 200 Million years ago. Back to the days where Giant Creatures ruled the earth. Welcome to Vernal, Utah – home of Dinosaur Land. Did you know that you can get a ‘Dinosaur Hunting’ license while in Dinosaur Land that is signed by Al O’Saurus, Deputy Lizard Warden. Make sure to pick one up while in town. But, there is so much more to DinosaurLand then just a Fossil Wall.

If you’re looking for a place to stay while you’re visiting Dinosaur Land in Vernal, Utah
There are many options. If you’re a camper, they have plenty of campgrounds to choose from. I personally think that Dinosaur National Monument Campgrounds is where we’d want to stay. But if you’re not into camping, there are a few different hotels that you can choose from. There are even a couple Bed & Breakfast’s. I’ve never been to a Bed and Breakfast. Have you?

Its a good thing my little guy can not read yet, if he saw this he would be packing his bag and demanding that we get in the car and GO NOW! He loves dinosaurs and would love to go see them 🙂 Sounds like a good family trip
I stayed at a bed and breakfast years ago and it was nice. I’d consider it again. The Dinosaur Land idea is perfect! My kids would LOVE it and my husband would love all of the history attractions! Thanks for sharing!
That sounds like fun! I’ve always been fascinated with dinosaurs myself!
That sounds like fun and educational all in one . My kids would enjoy it . I honestly had never heard of this place until I read your post but we have been on the fence about Summer family vacation . We originally had planned Disneyworld but decided that $8,000-$10,000 was just not something we wanted to do this year so we are considering renting a very large RV and traveling west toward Utah , Colorado and such, so I love this idea .
Great read , Thank you !!!
We have a dinosaur land here it’s so much fun.
That sounds like so much fun. My son just told me he wanted a dinosaur themed birthday party and he would absolutely love this! My husband is not a beach person and we were just talking about vacation ideas today. This is definitely going on the list!
