Trying to pick out music for the wedding was one of the hardest things. The DJ we chose to hire plays mostly country and rock/classic rock. And during dinner time he knew that we wanted the traditional dinner music. But everyone has a different idea of Dinner music. Some just think it needs to be instrumental, but I love having the Jazz style music be played. Recently, I came across a new Jazz artist – Tony Ybarra. I was sent a set of CDs to listen to.
A little about Tony Ybarra: Tony Ybarra – Flamenco Latino Guitarist: Born in Santa Barbara, California, Tony has been playing music his whole life. His father introduced him to the guitar and to Latin and Jazz music. Soon his musical palette broadened to encompass classical and flamenco. His understanding of these diverse styles has let him craft out his own sound that is melodic, romantic, rhythmic, and sophisticated (Tony Ybarra Guitar)
I received the Set of CDs on a Warm Spring Day. I had all the windows open, and the sun was shinning in… and I had Tony Ybarra playing in the background. There is something about his style of music that just moved me. I could feel the passion in each note. One thing that I think helped me feel the music as much – is the fact that in some of his music, there is a flute being played. I played flute myself in my high school and college Jazz ensemble. If it wasnt for the fact that I’m in Michigan and He’s in California, I would have loved to see him play in concert. And if you are looking for a live performer for your wedding – you can always look at hiring Tony Ybarra.
If you live in the Souther California Area – Make sure you try to find a way to check him out live! Make sure to follow Tony Ybarra on Facebook to keep up with his performances.
Disclosure: I received a set of CDs to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
