Ultimate Wedding GuideOne of the most fun things about a wedding is the Reception.  You get to have an amazing meal, have drinks of your choice, and Dance.  Also through out the hustle and bustle, your Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Man have the chance to make a speech.  And all your guests cant wait for you to cut into your cake.  We wanted to make sure we had mementos of those times – Something we could have engraved.  One of the first places that come to mind when I think of Engraveable items is Things Remembered.  Things Remembered sent me both my Toasting Flutes and Cake Knife and Server

A little about Things Remembered: Things Remembered is the nation’s largest and most prominent retailer of personalized gifts. For over 40 years, we’ve helped people celebrate life’s moments. Our gifts allow customers to express their emotions through engraving. We’ve seen the power of engraved gifts, and we take the responsibility of helping people find the perfect words seriously. Many times, we’re creating heirlooms. (Things Remembered)Things Remembered 1Up until receiving my Double Open Heart Servers, I never really understood why people wanted them engraved.  When I opened the box I then knew exactly why.  It’s not just a One Time Use thing, but it is also a beautiful memory of the wedding.  Both pieces were carefully protected inside their case. Then handles were wrapped with a tissue paper to prevent scratching and the rest was inserted in a plastic sleeve.   Both pieces were engraved with our names and the date of the wedding.  They were just stunning.    For our wedding we had a 8″ Cake with 100 cupcakes surrounding it.  Even after cutting into our cake, letting the frosting sit on it through the rest of the evening, everything getting packed up and taken home and not getting washed until the next day – it still cleaned up and sparkled like the day we got it.Things Remembered 2We received the Royal Doulton Hearts Entwined Toasting Flutes that same day.  When we opened it, we noticed that only one of the flutes were engraved.  So I contacted Things Remembered and they contacted our local store so we could get the other flute engraved to match.  When we took it into our local store, we had amazing customer service.  The style flute that we had was not one they carried in store, So he made sure to be extra cautious when it came to engraving the one I brought in.   After it was done, I looked at them both – and you couldn’t tell that they were done at 2 different places!  He matched it up perfectly!  I Love having a great experience at a store!

Both of these pieces proudly sit in my Curio Cabinet.  Make sure to follow Things Remembered on Facebook and Twitter.

Disclosure: I received the pieces shown above for review.   All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
