Every now and then it is fun to go out to the movies with the Whole family.  But finding a movie that is good for ALL ages can be a little difficult.  So when the MI Savings Mama family was invited to see THE CROODS, we jumped at the opportunity.

thecroods

Synopsis:  The Croods is a prehistoric comedy adventure that follows the world’s first family as they embark on a journey of a lifetime when the cave that has always shielded them from danger is destroyed. Traveling across a spectacular landscape, the Croods discover an incredible new world filled with fantastic creatures — and their outlook is changed forever.

This was the perfect movie for the whole family.  It had everyone laughing – including Jeff and myself.. as well as Lil C who is 6 and Lil Miss who is 11.  Once you started to listen to the voices, you realize all the great actors/actresses that are doing the voices.  Especially Nicholas Cage – who does the voice of Grug (the dad).  It was the PERFECT voice for this character.

Lil C’s FAVORITE character was “Belt”  I think it was because of the “Dat – da -ta – da!”  thing that he does.  But, I agree, Belt was cute!  I most related to Eep.  Being the oldest daughter myself, I can see how she wants to go against what her family says. She’s curious  – but she needs to know that her dad is doing what a father knows best – and that is to protect his family.

There were a lot of Twists and turns and oh-no’s and almost’s throughout this whole movie.  But in the end, Change can be a good thing – and Family is the best thing.

*We were invited to a Pre-Screening of The Croods.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

It was really good! And I did find out that “Belt” visited one of our Local Children’s Hospitals this past Friday.
