This book is stuffed full of different alternatives to some of your favorite treats. It gives you a heads up on what to look for in a snack – and what additives that you should totally avoid. I was Completely saddened to hear HOW bad Doritos were for me. I LOVE Doritos – especially with a Grilled Cheese Sandwich – Oozing with Velveeta Cheese. 😀 Yeah, I know… Bad me. But at least “Unjunk your Junk Food” Gives alternate products to satisfy my needs. So instead of Eatting Doritos – They suggest I try, Garden of Eatin’ Nacho Cheese Chips. Hmm, Now to just find them in a local store. I really want to try them. Unjunk Your Junk food has taught me a lot about HOW to READ the Nutrition Facts on a package. It also has given me an idea what to look for when I am Shopping on my own. I feel much better now knowing What I am and what I am NO LONGER putting in my son’s mouth!

Whenever I go food shopping, I’m always amazed at how so much of the food their is junk food. It’s really hard not to give in and just get what you think is delicious, but this books sounds like it would be great in helping you to make better choices. I’m especially interested in dangerous additives to avoid.
