This Superman Cocktail features Cherry Vodka, Blue Curacao, and Coconut Vodka which makes this a perfectly refreshing cocktail.
This blue cocktail was inspired by the return of The Man of Steel who came back to the big screen in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016.

IS THERE ANY ALCOHOL IN BLUE CURACAO?
Yes, there is. The alcohol volume ranges from 15 – 40%.
WHAT DOES BLUE CURACAO TASTE LIKE?
Curacao has a slightly bitter orange flavor to it. It is naturally colorless and is made from the dried peals of the lahara citrus fruit. It is colored blue.
CAN YOU DRINK BLUE CURACAO BY ITSELF?
Yes, you can. You can enjoy it straight, mixed with orange juice or lemonade, or on-the-rocks.
With the blue and red colors of this cocktail, this would make a fantastic Summer cocktail to serve at your Memorial Day or 4th of July barbecue! To make this a Patriotic cocktail, all you would you have to do is change the color of the sanding sugar to red, white, or blue (or a mixture of all 3 colors) and add a cherry or two for garnish!

SUPERMAN COCKTAIL – MAN OF STEEL DRINK RECIPE
Servings: 1
INGREDIENTS:
1 oz Cherry Vodka
1 oz Blue Curacao
2 oz Sprite
1 oz Coconut Vodka
1 oz Grenadine
Ice
Gold sanding sugar
Simple syrup
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
2 small plates
Shaker
Cocktail glass
DIRECTIONS:
Set out two small appetizer plates. On one of the plates, pour out about 1 tbsp of simple syrup. On the other plate, add the sanding sugar.
Take your cocktail glass and dip the rim of it into the syrup and then into the sanding sugar. Set the glass aside while you prepare the cocktail.
Fill your glass ¾ of the way with ice.
*Tip: Small chunks of ice work much better than larger ones.
In a shaker, add the vodkas and grenadine and shake it like you’re Superman.
Pour the mix into your glass.
Add the Blue Curacao and Sprite to your shaker and shake vigorously again.
Pour the blue mixture slowly into the glass, pouring it straight down the center to achieve the layered look.
Garnish your Superman Cocktail with a fun straw!
