My nephew is getting to the age where he’s getting ready to start eating Solid Foods as opposed to just formula. That has put me into thinking about how we’re going to plan on transitioning Peanut from milk only to solid foods.  So with a little research, I have turned to Ruth Yaron’s Book – Super Baby Foods. 9780965260329.indd

A little about Super Baby Food:  Parents know that you get only one shot to feed your baby right and Ruth Yaron has been helping parents get it right for over 15 years. Ruth’s book, Super Baby Food, is affectionately referred to as the baby food bible by over half a million parents worldwide because it literally contains everything you will ever need to know about feeding a baby and toddler.

One of my favorite tips in this book was “Do Play with your Food”.  That one statements goes against everything I have taught my son over the past few years (But he is also 7 now).  Even though it may seem like the lil ones are just playing with their foods – they are learning about texture and how to grab and hold and feed themselves.   But that is not all that “Super Baby Foods” talks about.  Ruth also goes over how to prepare meals for your lil one as well as what some of the Super Baby Foods are.

If you are expecting or know someone who is, Make sure to get Super Baby Foods for the new mommy.   Make sure you take a moment to follow Super Baby food on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.  You can purchase this book on the Super Baby Food Website.  Or on Amazon.com

This sounds like a great book! I never had a problem with my kids playing with their food , when they were babies. When they got older is another story. I think I’ll buy this book for my daughter-in-law … if I don’t win it!

I’m ALL about natural and organic baby foods when it comes to little ones. While I’m not a mom myself, I have plenty of friends who have kids and some of the things that are available for babies on the shelves in stores make me shudder! I also love the concept of playing with their food-like you said, that’s part of how kids learn 🙂

I know what you mean. When I had lil C, I never thought twice of what was in the baby foods – but Things have come a long way since then… And I’ve become a lot smarter!

I had a beautiful baby girl a month ago and I am already thinking about when I transition her to baby food (at 6 months). I have always wanted to make my own and this looks like it would help with that!
