Back to school has started to creep up upon us.  Lil C is already talking about his lunch box and what kind of foods he wants – Well, what kind of Snacks he wants.  He loves his snacks.  Trying to find a snack that he APPROVES of and that WE approve of can be a bit daunting.   That’s why I jumped at the chance of trying the Sugar Bowl Bakery Brownie Bites.11913582_10153384739533673_1070936999_n

A little about Sugar Bowl Bakery:   “In 1984, five ambitious brothers pooled their savings together of $40K and purchased Sugar Bowl Bakery, a small neighborhood coffee shop in San Francisco’s Richmond District.  With a tenacious drive to succeed, the Ly brothers made pastries from scratch and sold them to the local community.  Using only the purest ingredients, Sugar Bowl Bakery quickly became known as the local stop everyone went to for their desserts.”  “Fast forward 27 years later, Sugar Bowl Bakery now has nearly 120K sq. ft of state-of the art production facilities – that means custom made ovens, mixers, and robotic packaging lines – sourced from all over the world.” (Sugar Bowl Bakery)11857547_10153384739503673_313095135_n

It is a well known fact in our household that we LOVE chocolate.   We’ve had a bad habit of buying mini brownies during our grocery shopping trips, just to feed our chocolate fix.  The brownies from Sugar Bowl Bakery came in at a perfect time!  I love that they are individually wrapped.   It helps keep them fresher for longer.  Also, being wrapped makes it easy to throw one in Lil C’s Lunch box and not creating a mess.  One thing that threw everyone off was the fact that they were labeled “ORGANIC”. The kids think that “organic” means healthy and not yummy, but to everyone’s surprise, they are Amazingly Delicious!    Hopefully with them being individually wrapped, they will last a little longer in our household.  Every time we buy a package of mini brownies, they disappear in 2 days, and this Mama gets the short end of the stick!

Unfortunately, these are not available to purchase online, but you can visit here and see if there’s a local gourmet near you that sells them.   They run about 5.99-7.99 per container.

OMG these look amazing. Organic is always a bonus! I wonder if I can pick some of these up at World Market like it says.
