One of the biggest days in a lady’s life is when their significant other proposes to them. The mood is right and the time is right for the proposal.  Everything is Perfect.  Well, usually it is.  But no matter what, that is a day you will remember.  Even though this is both Jeff’s and my Second weddings, we still believe in following  many traditions.

Proposal , Engagement Ring

Jeff and I have known each other for many years, as friends only.

After dating for a while, we noticed that there was a great connection. We talked about marriage, and if we ever were to get remarried where we would want to get married. Just before Thanksgiving, Jeff went to my father to ask permission to have my hand in marriage. And it sounded like things went well.

On New Years Eve,  My dreams came true.

Neither of us had our kids that day, and I had to work the next morning, so we were going to keep things low key.  We ended up going out to dinner at my Favorite Restaurant (Olive Garden). Jeff was very antsy there. But, it was just dinner….Sigh… Then we went to my friends house to visit and have desert. I had a blast playing with their lil one.  And was great knowing that they approved of Jeff. After a little bit, we headed out and were on our way to visit one of Jeff’s friends.

On the way he detoured and pulled into the Local Park’s entrance way.

Low and behold the gates were closed. Guess who was bummed.  It was snowing outside,  so we just sat in the car and he turned around to me and said “I tried to find the perfect place and perfect time, but the gates are closed. ” That’s when he pulled a box out of his pocket and continued to ask me to marry him. To me it was perfect. He tried and that was what mattered most.

How did your significant other propose to you?
