*I received the SmileBrilliant System in exchange for this review.  All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

For as long as I can remember, I have hated my smile.  My have not been pearly white in what seems forever.  There are so many whitening products on the market, that it made my head spin.  I’ve tried a few, but they never seemed to get all my teeth like they should. So when the wonderful people at SmileBrilliant emailed me asking if I wanted to test their system, I jumped at the opportunity.IMG_20150309_200301676

I didn’t know what to expect with the SmileBrilliant Kit.  I’ve never had a Custom whitening kit.  When it arrived, it came with the mold for your teeth.  They give you enough mix for 3 molds, just in you mess up one.  To make the mold, you just mix the blue and white “goop” until its completely blended in, place it in the tray, put it in your mouth and hold it in place.
MixSimple right!?  Right. Messy, yes…. Fair warning, you’ll probably drool.  I thought I was in the clear, I did the first tray right, but then I did the bottom tray…. Followed the above directions… and I missed covering a couple teeth – so I had to do another tray!  That one came out much better.   Then you send your molds back to the SmileBrilliant headquarters and they make custom trays.  It took about a good week to get my custom trays back after sending the molds in.

When they arrived I was so excited at the fit.  Having a custom Whitening tray that was made specifically for my mouth.  No more only trying to use strips that will only cover the first couple teeth!   IMG_20150327_195143231Theres my Pearly…. Well, off whites.  Can you tell I need to use the SmileBrilliant trays?  So I got my handy instructions out and set up everything… And put them in.  Per the website:  “The average person with light to moderate stains should use the product daily for 4-7 days (1-3 hours per day) before all stains have been removed from the surface of their tooth’s enamel. Those with more severe stains may need to use the teeth whitening gel and trays daily for as long as 10-14 days. Those with sensitive teeth will want to space their applications out with a day or two rest in-between treatments. ”

The first time I tried the SmileBrilliant trays, I noticed that I had a little sensitivity to my teeth.  Well, maybe a hair more than a little.  I did expect this though.  Certain foods and temperatures irritate my teeth.  So I only kept the trays in for 15 minutes the first time and spaced out my treatments to every other day.
