When I first got engaged, I started looking everywhere to find the perfect bridesmaids dresses. I had an idea who I was going to ask to stand up in the wedding, I just had to find the perfect dress to fit everyone. I looked in Bridal Shops, In stores, and even online. One online site that I cam across was DressFirst. DressFirst had a wide range of Bridal dresses as well as Bridal Party dresses. Don’t get me wrong, I originally went there to look for bridesmaids dresses, but I couldn’t help browsing the wedding gowns.
I did come across a couple bridesmaids dresses that I absolutely loved. Personally, I love the long floor length dresses. But that is because I HATE the way my legs look. But with the wedding being in August, I knew that I had to find something a little lighter weight, flowy, and something closer to knee length.
My next challenge though was the fact that I didnt want all my bridal party to wear different dresses. I know many people say that the Maid/Matron of Honor should stand out, but that was not my vision. The hardest part to finding a dress to fit them all, was the age range of my bridal party. I had a Matron of Honor and a Bridesmaid and then my Junior Bridesmaid. Lil Miss was the Junior Bridesmaid, and with her being 12 and the same height as me, I couldn’t pick out a youth style dress.
I knew lil Miss would love the dress right above. It shows off her grown up side, but it also has the fun that a teenage is all about. And the color… I love the lavender.
With Lil Miss growing up, and knowing all the dances that will be in her near future, I know exactly where I’m planning on shopping at!

These dresses are gorgeous! Alas, all my girls are grown and gone, with children of their own. I’ll keep them in mind for when the grandkids are older though!
I use to love looking for dresses and still enjoy looking at them even though I know I wont be buying any 🙂
