Serta Sertapedic Verona Innerspring Crib & Toddler Mattress

When Junior was born, we had him in a bassinet. But he’s a big boy, so as you can imagine, he outgrew that quickly. Since his crib grows into a toddler bed, we wanted to find a sturdy and comfortable mattress that lasts for years to come. There are so many different kinds of crib mattresses out there, and it was a daunting task to choose one. Luckily, I was given the opportunity to check out the Serta Sertapedic Verona Innerspring Crib & Toddler mattress.

The first thing that I liked about it is that it’s crib & toddler. Each side of the mattress is constructed differently, so there is a side more suitable for infants and one more suitable for toddlers. This means that when my 8 lb baby is pushing 40 lbs, he’ll still be as comfortable as he was in the crib. I didn’t want something that would thin out over the next few years.

The 160 interlocking coils ensure stable, balanced support; Additional support is provided by ortho-insulated layers to keep the crib mattress firm and comfortable throughout the child’s growth. I haven’t had mine that long yet, but I can definitely imagine it lasting through a few children. As a matter of fact, the Serta Sertapedic Verona Innerspring Crib & Toddler mattress has a 25-year guarantee. So even if you put it through ten kids, it will still be as good as the day you bought it! (I can’t say it will look as pretty…because everyone knows how much a toddler loves a Sharpie marker!)

Serta is a well-known name when it comes to mattresses, so I fully trusted the brand already. We set up the crib and put Junior in it and set the mattress on the infant side. He fell right to sleep like he’d been in there his entire life. I was actually kind of jealous. He was sleeping so well…and everyone knows that mama needs a comfy place to sleep those first few months!

The next thing that I like about this Serta crib mattress is that the laminated cover is waterproof and easy to clean. Not only for diaper mishaps but for bottles and sippy cups as the child gets bigger. We don’t put a bottle in the bed with Junior. As he gets older, though, it’s not unlikely that he will bring a sippy into his room and put it on his bed. And then there is potty training. Need I say more?

The other massive benefit to this mattress is that it’s GREENGUARD Gold certified & CertiPUR-US certified. There’s something to be said about your child sleeping in an allergy-free environment, especially when allergies run in the family. Knowing that Junior is able to breathe free while he is sleeping gives this mama a piece of mind.

A comfortable and safe sleeping environment for your baby is a choice you can’t help but make. I highly recommend the Serta Sertapedic Verona Innerspring Crib & Toddler Mattress. It will give you the peace of mind you need to get a good night’s sleep too.
