I have recently learned that a LOT of ailments can be treated with not only medicines – but with essential oils as well.   doTerra offers a large variety of essential oils that will help treat many of your aches and pains – as well as help with your  mood.

A little about the Wild Orange Oil:   In Southeast Asia and in Central America wild orange essential oil is put into standing water to prevent the introduction of mosquito larvae.  The Tamils of India traditionally scent the bride with rose water and wild orange essential oil during the wedding ceremony; it is considered to bring good luck and excellent health. In many cultures it is the first and foremost scent in aromatherapy.  Robert E. Lee, the famous Civil War general, was given the very first bottle of wild orange essential oil produced in Florida in 1862.  The Florentines of Italy long had a monopoly on the essential oil, having invented a secret process for distilling the oil without making it turn bitter.

I received the Wild Orange Essential Oil for review.  I will have to admit, I have never tried oils for any homeopathic reasons  – I just though they were used in Massage.  Boy I was wrong.  So when I received the oil, I did a bunch of looking up on the uses of “wild orange” and was amazed at all the uses:   anti-bacterial, anti-depressant, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiseptic, carminative (expells gas from the alimentary canal, to relieve colic and spasmodic pain of bowels), choleretic, digestive, hypotensive, sedative, stimulant, stomachic and tonic. Even though you can drink this -I chose to just use it as a diffused Scent.  Wild Orange is suppose to have a calming effect – So I tend to have it in my room at night.  Not sure if it is a Mind over Matter or if it is the Orange Scent, I defiantly have to say that I am Way more relaxed now then I was before using the Wild Orange.  I am hoping that it helps a little more in the “anti-Depressant” category.  I am ready to be a happy new ME.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
