With ‘lil C we did disposable Diapers. And for those who know anything about Cloth Diapers, they tend to take up much more room when it comes to clothing the ‘lil ones. So when hubby and I decided that we were going to Cloth Diaper our ‘lil peanut, I started looking for pants that would comfortably fit over a Cloth Diapered tushie. Thats when I got to work with the people of Project Ponoma. They sent me a pair of their jeans just for peanut to try.
A little about how Project Ponoma came about: I received a wonderful gift of gently used baby clothes right before the birth of my first child back in 2008. I was so excited for her to wear them all. Much to my dismay, none of the super cute jeans, cords and non-knit pants really worked great over cloth diapers. Even sizing up left little room for her to comfortably sit or crawl. Once we had four little ones in the immediate family using cloth, I decided to design a pant that could be make out of denim, corduroy or any non-knit material that would still comfortably fit our kiddos. Afterall, a little boy just has to have a good pair of jeans no matter what type of diaper he is wearing (Project Ponoma) Aren’t they cute? One thing that I loved most about the Project Pomona Jeans is that they look like Big Girl Jeans. They have little pockets in the back – and the way the front flap is formed, it looks like she has front pockets as well. The pair that I received are a a Size One. These are made to fit 3-9months. The waist has a row of snaps, that way they can expand in the waist as the lil one grows. The pant’s legs can be un-cuffed to allow for additional length. The front rise is 7″ and the rear rise is 9.25″. This gives plenty of room for a fluff tush to fit! And for those Non-Cloth Mamas, Project Pomona also makes a line of jeans that are made to fit Disposable Diapers as well! If you havent checked out Project Pomona, You will see that they have a cute assortment of jeans for both boys and girls. Not only do they have solid colored cuffed jeans, but they also have a line of prints as well. I cant wait til peanut gets to be in the 3-9 month size… I know these are going to look amazing on her fluff butt.
You can purchase these cute jeans on the Project Pomona Website. Make sure you take a moment to follow Project Pomona on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest

These are adorable! My little one doesn’t arrive until April so it would be awhile before she is ready for jeans but when she is, these are definitely on the “to look in to” list since we plan to cloth diaper!

I’m so glad I saw this review. I feel like I’ve read it all about cloth diapering and have a wealth of information in my arsenal ready to ward off the naysayers. The day I first read this article, my mom happened to ask about cloth diapers and how they fit with pants. I was able to mention these!

Love the Project Pomona baby Jeans. I wish more manufacturers would put extra snaps and roll up cuffs on their baby pants so that they can be worn for more than a month or two.

My daughter-in-law is expecting a boy in June so I went to Project Pomona’s website to look at their boy jeans. I found a pair called Project Pomona Eco Fit Cloth Diaper Jeans with Spring Green Accent Cuff. They are adorable and if I don’t win the giveaway, I’m going to have to buy these for my grandson.

I hadn’t even thought about trying to stuff a fluffy bum into standard pants. Grandma will be super excited if this means more cute skirts and dresses!

I never used cloth diapers, so i never realized they took more room. I love the idea of cloth diapers now, and you would think baby clothes would be more designed to accommodate them. Good job on your creativity.
