Many thanks to Pop Secret for sponsoring today’s story and encouraging me to have a movie night with my family!

With it being so chilly outside lately, we have been opting to do more indoor activities as a family.  One thing that we love to do is curl up and have a family movie night.  So I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work to pick up some Pop Secret Popcorn!  Typically we just get plain popcorn, but today lil C and I decided to splurge. We picked up Movie Theater flavored Popcorn.  We were going to have some Pop Secret Family Fun!popsecret_2Typically when we have movie nights, Hubby and I get the couches and the kids get their pillow out and have the floor space.  Except  this night lil C has decided that he’s going to make his own personal  movie theater.

popsecret_7Because we are sitting on the couches, Lil C had to improvise on his fort making skills.  We use the baby gate sections to keep Peanut away from the work out equipment…. Well Lil C saw other potential use in these baby gates.  This section of baby gate was the perfect size for the theater.  And what movie theater would be complete with out a roof? So Lil C grabbed our heavy comforter to finish the theater… With this comforter it is so thick that it created the perfect dark theater setting.

popsecret_4What theater is complete with out popcorn?
popsecret_6(Shhh He caught me taking his picture while he was eating some Pop Secret Popcorn)popsecret_5Everything was going great until Peanut wanted to join Big Brother in the Movie Fort Fun.  Daddy had to step in and move the popcorn.popsecret_8

I remember my brother and cousins and I all being kids. We use to take the cushions off the couches and make our own hideouts.  Some times we would grab blankets and make houses – other times we would make fort walls.  We’d play there for hours.  Now having little ones of my own I get to enjoy all the days of home made forts.  Lil C is at the perfect age for fort building.  He has all the curiosity and creativity that it takes to build his own “Pop Secret Fort”

Pop Secret knows that fun, like popcorn, is better when it’s shared. Send Pop Secret your pillow fort stories and pictures on Facebook. You can upload them right to the Pop Secret timeline and tag them #PopSecretForts. They might just share a little something back!   While you’re there, make sure you take a moment to grab the $1.00 off coupon!

Disclosure:   Thank you to Pop Secret for sponsoring today’s post and inspiring me to try building a pillow fort!

Forts are a natural instinct, it seems. I was the same way when I was a kid.
