If you haven’t checked out Pediped’s baby shoes yet, you’re missing out. Recently, I was asked to review their Originals Giselle in Chocolate Brown. One of the best things about Pediped shoes is that function and style is perfectly combined. Look at how adorable these are!
I also really like the colors. Brown goes with anything (especially pink) and the polka dots will match just about any outfit my daughter has. We always get compliments when I take her out in them. They’re also difficult for her to kick off, which any parent of a newborn can appreciate! (We’ve all had to search the floor of the car for the missing shoe once or twice, right?)
A little bit about Pediped – they’ve developed a specific shoe “system” for small children, which means that they have a shoe for each stage of your child’s foot development right up until size 2 youth.
Originals are the first shoe, when babies are just beginning to walk and need to feel their feet on the floor for balance and stability. The age range for the Originals is 0-24 months, and they are recommended by pediatricians because they so closely mimic barefoot walking. They’re made from high quality soft leather with soft soles for maximum comfort.
The next stage, Grip ‘n’ Go, is for the child who is walking but isn’t the steadiest on their feet yet. Grip ‘n’ Go shoes have a soft rubber sole with a specially rounded toe box so that tiny toes can still grip the floor. They’re great transitional shoes to “big kid” shoes and are available in sizes US 4-7.
The Flex shoes (sizes 5 kids – 2 youth), are sturdy shoes that hold up to the wear and tear kids that age can dish out, but they don’t lose the comfort and flexibility that some bigger kids shoes do. They still have soft rubber soles and are designed to be the shoes your kids want to walk, run, and play in.
You really can’t go wrong with Pediped. They’re not only good for your baby, they’re good for your heart – the Pediped foundation has given over 2.8 million dollars worth of products and monetary support to needy children all over the world. Go check them out!
