Since getting married, the hubby and I have been working at combining our styles… One thing we have done was make sure that we have furniture that is Child and Pet friendly.   For you mamas out there, you know how messy young kids can be.  Even though you do your best to make sure they eat at the table, and are cleaned up right away after – somehow the lil ones manage to find a way to get some mess on your Table / Couch / Rug / Etc.  And if you have pets, you know it can be JUST as bad.  So When I heard about Crypton Home Fabrics, I knew I needed to learn a little more about it.   So I teamed with Crypton and Gorman’s  and received a piece of furniture for Tach to try out.

A little about Crypton Home Fabric:   With a twenty-year heritage in the commercial design world, Crypton offers one of the most powerful performance upholstery fabric solutions in the world. Its patented process ensures consistent stain, moisture and microbial resistance, superior strength and durability that re-define the expectations of upholstery.  Crypton’s latest innovation brings a new, easy-to-clean fabric to the home called, Crypton Home Fabric.  Randy and Craig Rubin of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan founded Crypton in 1993. Crypton’s patented fabrics are moisture-resistant, environmentally friendly, easy-to-clean, soft, comfortable, breathable and style-conscious.The couple wanted a fabric that could stand up to life’s messes and still feel good and look beautiful, a fabric that would change the way people live their lives.

Tach received the Bumper Dog Eared Bed from Crypton Home Fabrics.   We have tried different Dog beds with Tach in the past, and none have worked.  When we moved into our old house, we picked up a round bed for him.  Tach looked at it, sniffs it, and it just sat in my sons room untouched.  But the Crypton Bed that he received… Completely different story.  From the day I brought it home, he has taken a liking to it.  And he know’s that it  is HIS!  The night we got it, we were getting ready for bed and I told Tach to go lay in his bed, and he just pranced in there and made his self at home! Honestly, I thought that this was just because it was a NEW thing for him in our new house… But even after a month of having the bed, He still will go and curl up in it.   Having the raised sides gives him a place to rest his head. (even if he lays on the couch, he puts his head on one of the decorative pillows.  Yes he is a spoiled pooch)

This bed has been Extremely easy to care for.  Even though Tach has been shedding a little with the weather change, his hair does not seem to be embedding itself into the material like other materials. As you can see even after over a months of daily use, this bed still has the same bright coloring as the day it arrived.  The sides have not lost any of their shapes  – giving my pups a proper pillow for his head to rest.  It has even held up to him Fluffing His bed before sleeping  – without wearing a hole in the material.
You can find Crypton Home Fabrics at

Gorman’s Home Furnishings and Interior Design, the style leader in home furnishings and accessories.  They recently announced
the introduction of Crypton Home Fabrics (Crypton®) to its five design centers across the state.
You can find Crypton on Facebook and Twitter .  You can also find Gorman’s on Facebook.

This is such a cute dog bed. I’ve purchased many dog beds for our pet but he always manages to tear them up.

Surprisingly even with all the fluffing Tach has done, he has not worn the material yet

My dog thinks that our bed is his bed. I wonder if a bed like this would get him to use his own for once? Lol

Tach was the same way – especially since finding out I was pregnant. He’ll still try to come sleep on our bed, but all I have to do now is look at him and go “really? You have your own bed” and he’ll jump down and curl up in his. It doesnt last ALL night, but at least I can fall asleep without a dog sleeping on my legs!

That bed looks super cozy! My pup likes to prop her head up on the sides of a bed too, so having a good, sturdy side is essential to us in choosing a pet bed!

The sides on this bed are great. They seem to be holding Tach’s head comfortably! (otherwise I know he wouldn’t sleep in it)

I LOVE the ease of cleaning the fabric. It’s also suppose to be really easy to remove spots from – but so far my pups has been super clean with his bed….
