Last year was lil C’s first year in full day school. I remember always fighting him about what he wanted for lunch.  With the peanut allergies going around he had to take sandwiches that weren’t pb&j.  But sitting in a warm lunch box in the classroom, the sandwiches were warm. Rubbermaid has a solution for that.  They have come out with the Rubbermaid LunchBlox just in time for the school year.

Features of the  RubberMaid LunchBlox:

  • Containers stack compactly to stay organized
  • Blue Ice keeps your lunch cool on the go
  • Secure lid seal
  • BPA-free
  • Microwave, Dishwasher, and Freezer Safe
  • Sandwich container holds regular and specialty bread
  • Sandwich Kit includes 2 Snack Containers, 1 Side Container, 1 Sandwich Container and 1 Medium Blue Ice

I had the opportunity to try the new Rubbermaid lunch box system. This system comes packed in a square plastic box.  With the RubberMaid LunchBlox Kit, you will receive 2 snack containers, 1 side container, 1 sandwich container and a Blue Ice pack.  It is so much more convenient having the blue ice pack as opposed to throwing in a separate freezer pack.  By putting your ice pack in the center of the sandwich and snacks, it keeps both sections equally cool.  This works great for lunchboxes – especially for those children who like deli meat in their sandwiches.  I have always been use to using sandwich bags for my lunches, but this is so much more eco friendly.  And it saves on your pocket book.   The Rubbermaid LunchBlox retail for about 13.00.   You can purchase these at your local stores – such as Target, Kmart, Kroger, Safeway, Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie, HEB, other grocery stores and select Wal-Mart stores.  You can also purchase this at Rubbermaid.com.

We have these and I absolutely love them! Hubby likes them better than the other ‘sandwich’ containers we have too. They snap together and keep everything nice and cold.
