This month is National Child Passenger Safety Month.   With that being said, Graco launched a “Buckle Up for Safety” pledge on Facebook to pledge your commitment to child passenger safety. For every pledge Graco will donate $1 to Safe Kids Worldwide until they reach their goal of 10,000 pledges!   I have teamed up with Graco to share this event with you!  They sent me the Highback TurboBooster with Safety Surround for Lil C to test.

Features of the Highback TurboBooster with Safety Surround:

  • Safety Surround™ Side Impact Protection truly grows with your child at each stage offering the best head and body protection
  • More rigorously crash tested – In addition to meeting or exceeding U.S. safety standards this seat meets both Graco’s side impact testing and Europe’s draft side impact standard
  • Helps safely transport your “big kid” from 30-100 lbs
  • Top rated by leading consumer magazines and publications
  • Designed with the style and comfort features that kids love
  • Easily converts to backless booster for years of use
  • EPS, energy absorbing foam for effective impact energy management
  • Fully-adjustable headrest keeps your growing child secure
  • Open-loop belt guides help you correctly position your vehicle’s seat belt
  • Padded, height-adjustable armrests and hide-away cup holders keep kids smiling

When I was younger Car Seats laws were a little more lenient.  I was not in a booster seat in Kindergarten, much less at the age of 7.  But things have changed over the years.  Changes that are there to better protect our children.
With us having 2 vehicles, I wanted to make sure that each car has a Booster seat just for lil C.  Especially since hubbs has been picking him up after work (he gets home before me).IMG_5602

The Highback TurboBooster  can be used two different ways.  You can use it Highback Mode or Backless mode.   Highback Mode is For children 3-10 years old, from 30-100 lbs and 38″-57″ tall.   Backless Mode is For children 4-10 years old, from 40-100 lbs and 40″-57″ tall.  Personally I prefer Highback Mode, but I know Lil C tends to ride with the backless booster in his daddy’s and grandmas car.   This particular booster is extremely simple to put together.  It only took me about 5 minutes after glancing at the instructions.

My lil guy is known to make a mess.  Just the other day he got a Chocolate shake all over the one booster in my car – and on the seat…and on the floor.   The nice thing about the Turbo Booster is that it has a machine washable seat cushion!    The Highback is perfect for those long car trips – that way if lil C just happens to fall asleep, his head isn’t flopping all over the car.

Make sure to take the “Buckle Up For Safety” Pledge

Car seat safety is SO important. Thankfully, everyone in my family respects my car seat rules. Thanks for sharing this, I am off to sign the pledge!

I’m signing! My older girl is ready for a different seat, I want one that will last pretty much for the rest of her car seat riding days. This one is great!

Oh I really like that seat, it’s great that you can use it with or without the back and I also like the head support. Gracie falls asleep a lot too. I’m heading over to sign the pledge!

My kids like to fight me on car seats but I win because I am mom and I want them to be safe 🙂

I am all about what is safest for my kids, especially what will best protect them in case of an accident. My 6 y/o is in need of a new booster. I LOVE this one! I’ll have to go get him one. 🙂

Car seat safety is SO important. A carseat with a 5 point harness literally kept my oldest safe when he was 2.5 when I totalled my car. When it comes to car seat installation, you can feel the wind from my helicopter mom propellers!
