I LOVE being able to try out new vehicles. And recently I got to try the Mitsubishi Mirage. When it arrived I was so excited to see the color. You couldn’t miss it! It is a Kiwi Green … Can we say bright? You know no one will miss you on the road.
I got to drive – what I called the Grasshopper – for a week. Looking at it from the outside, I thought it was QUITE small looking, and I wondered how on earth I was going to be able to fit lil C and Peanut in the back seat. Once actually inside the car, you realized how spacious it actually was. This car is said to sit 5 – two in the front and then 3 in the back seat. I personally was not able to comfortably fit 3 across the back seat – but that is because Peanut is in a bulky car seat (Man, some of the baby’s cars eats take up like a seat and half! ) Thankfully this week we only had Peanut and Lil C.
The Mitsubishi Mirage comes in some fun colors. They have the basic Black and White and Red, but they also have Kiwi Green (which is what I drove), Plasma Purple and Sapphire Blue! Hubby was actually happy for once that I got a bright car. I was following him, but got a couple cars behind. He said with the bright color, I was easier to see. Which is quite important when driving a compact car.
One of my favorite things about this car was the Gas Mileage. In my every day car, I fill up about once a week and that is with a 13 gallon Gas tank. With the Mirage, I still went through one tank of gas, but the Tank of the Mirage was way smaller (Only about 9 gallons). As a Mom on a budget, This is perfect budget friendly car.
This car has a base MSRP of $12,995. I wish this car would have been around when I was looking to purchase my first new car in College!
