Meet Pug. Pug is what I named my Mitsubishi Outlander! Isnt she cute? I got to drive this Awesome car for a week – Testing out all the features and perks that the Mitsubishi offers.
When it first arrived The driver told me a little about the car and showed me the keypad. I looked at him and was like…Ok, now how do you start this thing? He looked at me and laughed. D’oh! I have never driven a car that had the push button start. This was a complete first. So we went out side and he showed me the features of the keyless start. You will not be able to start this car unless you have the key in the car or on your person.
The Mitsubishi Outlook seats 5 comfortably. Two in the front and 3 across the back seat. This is perfect for a family of 2 or more. I wouldn’t recommend trying to fit more than 2 car seats in the back seat. Especially if you have a car seat like my sons old one – it was HUGE. I swear it took up almost 1/2 the seat. There is plenty of head room for even a guy of 6’2″ ride in.
One of the nice things about the Outlook, it has a good size “Trunk” area. It held a ton. We were able to pack a day on a boat (coolers, and beach bags and towels) For 5 people. With plenty of room to spare. Visible on the interior side panel of the “trunk” is a Rockford Fosgate Sub woofer. Even I knew that Name! I loved the Sporty visibility of the subwoofer.
One thing that did throw me off a little was the CVT Transmission (CVT – Constant Velocity Trans). For someone who’s not use to this style of trans, you may think something was wrong – that it wasn’t shifting correctly. My first thought was that I had it in Overdrive – but every time I checked, I realized I was in the right gear. It only took me a day or so to get use to. And if you are someone who likes to have control over when your trans shifts, this particular car has the Paddle shifters. This was fun to play with as well – Gave you the feel of having a Stick Shift car – with no clutch to have to worry about pushing.
This Mistubishi is said to get 22 mpg City and 27 mpg highway miles. And after driving this car for a full week , I will have to say that this is pretty accurate. I was just under half a tank when I was at 198 miles! I am very impressed with the fuel economy of this vehicle.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for a week to test drive in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”

If you want the utility of a 4×4, the fuel economy of a sedan and the character of a sports car, the Mitsubishi Outlander is the right mix!
