Ultimate Wedding GuideHow do you celebrate the newly weds?  Do you throw rice or blow bubbles when they walk down the aisle officially husband and wife?  At the reception do you tap on your glasses with forks or knives or spoons, just to get the bridal couple to kiss?  Malmark has a great alternative to both of those traditions.  I am lucky to be working with the Malmark line to bring you their Kissing Bells.
Kissing Bells

A little about the Malmark Kissing Bells:  Bells used in our gift line are the same high quality hand crafted bells for our musical instruments. The 100% bronze bells are machine lathed, hand assembled and polished, to bring you a truly one-of-a-kind item to make your special day unique.   These festive heirloom kissing bells can make the wedding celebration more memorable. Ring to announce the toast  “Ring for a kiss.”  To finalize the event, outside of the temple or church welcome the new couple with the gift of ringing. Ring in lieu of rice. (Malmark Kissing Bells)

Kissing Bells 1I kept teasing Jeff that I was going to make sure that all our glasses and flatware were made out of plastic.  That way you wouldn’t have to listen to the traditional Clanging on the glasses.  Don’t Get me wrong, I LOVE to kiss my hubby to be.  But … Honestly, I am afraid that one of my family members would tap their glasses too hard and break them. The Kissing Bells by Malmark are a perfect substitution.

Kissing Bells 2Previous to receiving these bells, I never knew they existed.  But I love the different take on the traditional ways.  Since I only have two, Where am I going to place them?   I haven’t personally decided yet, but they are either both going to be sitting on the bridal table (one at each end) or each of the parents tables are going to have them. Or maybe they will just find their way floating around the room.Kissing Bells 3 These bells have a higher pitched ring – but I don’t think they are TOO loud.  (It did get the attention of my puppy though.  He thought he was being called for a treat).  Even though they stand around 2 inches tall, they have some weight to them. You can purchase them in either Bronze or upgrade to the Silver.  Since our wedding colors are Purple, Silver and Ivory, we went with silver.   One bell has a simple pearl wrap and the other has a beautiful iridescent ribbon with a flower-  Making each an elegant addition to our wedding. And a great keepsake after

*UPDATE: We had left the Matron of Honor and Best man in charge of the Kissing Bell. They worked out beautifully! Loved the sound of hearing the bells ring as opposed of the forks and knives on the glasses.

Disclaimer:  I received these bells in exchange for this review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
