Who knew that something as easy as wearing a fitness tracker could earn you money? Of course, it’s not like you’re going to get rich just by tracking your health but it doesn’t hurt to have that extra portion every month. If you’re anything like me, it feels like you live paycheck to paycheck so any extra amount, especially easy money, is appreciated. I love being able to earn with my fitness tracker because all I have to remember to do is put it on in the morning; it does the rest of the work.
Ways to Earn with your Fitbit
Achievemint
This is my favorite site for earning with my Fitbit. You simply sync your Fitbit (or other trackers from their list) to your Achievemint account and as your fitness tracker syncs with your phone, your Achievemint account is updated. Every 10,000 points is $10. I earn 6 points a day just by sleeping! The more steps you walk and the more activity you do, the more points you get.
Walgreens
Yeah, that’s right, you can either open a Balance Rewards account with Walgreens or if you already have one, you can sync your Fitbit (or other accepted fitness trackers) to your Walgreen’s account and earn 25 points for every 1,000 steps you take! Every 1,000 points is a $1. Your points will expire every 6 months if you do not make a purchase at Walgreens every 3 months.
Leap4Life
This one is a tad harder to get points and prizes with but is well worth it! You have to participate in certain online events and reach certain large goals in order to get points. There are two different types of points. The ones that earn you income are called Fitwell Points. 2,500 Fitwell Points is $25. 5,000 is $50, and so on and so forth. There is also the option of redeeming your points for fitness items or other goods from leading health and fitness companies.
Bounts
This company is based in the UK and allows you to earn points in the same way the other programs listed do. Like Leap4Life, it allows you to redeem those points for things like gift cards, fitness items, etc. but also lets you get cash for your points if you prefer. It also gives you the option to donate your points if you’re not in need of the funds yourself.
Higi
This program has you sync your account just as the others do but is more of a coupon earning app. For example, do you want an extra 25% off that dress you’ve been wanting? Up your fitness and earn the points and you’ve got it! Higi also does a lot of charity options and is more well-known for this than anything else.
There are so many more programs just like this out there and the list almost seems endless.
If you have a little bit of time, it’s worth it to sit down and get an account with as many as possible. This way, you’ll be earning points, cash, rewards, whatever you choose, on as many sites as you want, all at once. These are my top five that I’m most familiar with and they are very easy to use and worth the effort. I have no doubt the other programs out there are just as worth it.

There’s also the Dick’s Sporting Goods App. You can connect your Fitbit, and I think there are other stepping ban choices, to their app. If you step at least 10,000 steps a day, you earn 3 points. Once you earn 300 points, you can cash in for a $10 gift certificate to Dick’s.
I started this last year, and earned $40 towards their store. I did get an extra $10 because of the Summer Olympics. I would imagine they would do something for next years Winter Olympics.
