Easter is just around the corner.  And we all know the Biblical Story behind the Easter Holiday.  But Have you ever heard the story of Jesus’ life through the eyes of a Woman?  “Magdalena: Through Her Eyes tells us just that.

A little bit about “Magdalena: Through Her Eyes:  Originally released as “Magdalena: Released From Shame”, this DVD includes the 60-minute condensed adaptation of the film in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese and the original 82-minute film in eight languages.  For the first time, this remarkable film – created by women for women – gives a voice to one of the most complex and often misunderstood women of our past. Through Mary Magdalene’s eyes, we experience much more than just her own transformation by Jesus’ redemptive love.   As you watch, the woman at the well realizes that Jesus is the Messiah, the woman caught in adultery walks away in forgiveness, and the woman healed of bleeding is restored to health, physically and spiritually. These Biblical stories bring into clear focus how much Jesus values and affirms women. Then and now, Jesus reaches out to women in the midst of their struggles and sin.

I received a copy of this movie for review.  I have heard the story of Mary Magdalene… But I have never heard her view of Jesus’ Life.  Until this movie.  It was refreshing to see another perspective of the life and death of our Lord.  To see how his miracles changed peoples lives. I love that you can also walk through the Magdalena Website.   The Magdalena Today Website has many great resources for women especially.  There is a section for Life Questions and Life Stories.   You can purchase this movie through the website along with downloading other educational materials.
