With only a few more months left to go, It is now time to get the bigger items – Like a Crib Mattress.  When Hubby and I were looking at the store, we never realized that there were so many to choose from.   Did you know that they have different mattresses for Crib age and then another mattress for Toddler beds?  Thankfully Lullaby Earth has made one mattress to cover both stages.   They sent me the 2 Stage Crib Mattress for this event.IMG_7835

A little about Lullaby Earth:  Composed primarily of food-grade polyethylene with a truly waterproof design, the mattress is easy to clean while seamless edges do not allow bacteria build-up caused by sitting moisture. The firm surface and edge support provide a comfortable and safe sleep environment for your baby or toddler.    Unlike competing products in its price range, the Lullaby Earth baby crib mattress is completely free of polyurethane foam (including soybean foam blends), vinyl/PVC, PFC and antibacterial treated fabrics, as well as questionable fire retardants and known allergens.  (Lullaby Earth)

One thing that I noticed when this Mattress arrived was how light weight it was.  The box was huge, but the mattress only weighed like 10lbs!  According to the Lullaby Earth Website, their 2-Stage Mattress weights only 7 pounds!  Make is so much easier when it comes to changing crib sheets.    Speaking of changing sheets, I remember with Lil C having to change the sheets multiple times a week because he would throw up or wet the bed – It would always soak right thought the sheets… And we always worried about the mattress getting wet.  With the Lullaby Earth 2-Stage Mattress, we don’t have to worry about that.  This mattress is waterproof, even on the edges where most crib mattresses have seams.IMG_7837

Some other features of the Lullaby Earth 2-Stage Mattress:
– 2 Stage Dual Firmness:  Firmer Side for infants, Softer side for toddlers.
– Snug Fit:  Measures 27.5″ x 52″ x 6″
– Superior Materials: Core + Surface: 100% food-grade PE;  Cushioning: 100% PETE
– No Harmful Chemicals

Make sure to Follow Lullaby Earth on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.  If you are in need of a good mattress look for the Lullaby Earth 2-Stage Mattress at your Local Baby Store. You can also purchase it at the Lullaby Earth Website .  Or purchase it online at Amazon.com

We got rid of our son’s crib and mattress. This looks like a great mattress for our next baby. I love that it doesn’t contain any harmful materials.

Oh I have this mattress and it’s one of my absolute favorites! I love that it has 2 stages since I have a 1 year old in the crib and a 4 year old in a toddler bed. Also love that it is made w/no harmful chemicals – that’s a huge plus in my book!

That is one of my favorites as well. I hated having to buy 2 mattresses when I had Lil C. And it is so nice knowing that peanut will able to sleep on a chemical free bed.

I didn’t know that anyone made a 2-stage mattress. What a great idea to have a firmer side for babies and softer side for toddlers. I will have to tell my son and daughter-in-law about this. They are expecting their first child.

I have been thinking about replacing our toddler’s mattress since it will be used by his sister when she is old enough. I am really looking for one that doesn’t contain all those awful chemicals. This one looks great!

This is a great review. I did not know there were different mattresses for different ages. I will be shopping for a crib mattress very soon and this info is great to know. I definitely would want the 2-stage mattress to save money. I hated the edges on the old mattresses, they were definitely bacteria collectors. This mattress seems to be everything that I am looking for in a crib mattress.

Thats neat that it doesn’t have seams for moisture to build up. I really hated that with all the other crib mattresses I’ve had. You just cannot get into that spot and clean it up properly.

I really like the fact that the Lullaby Earth Mattress is waterproof, including the sides. No one wants to get up in the middle of the night to find that the baby has soaked through his diaper and even the mattress is wet.

Sometimes it is difficult to tell exactly when a child develops allergies, this certainly would help alleviate some of the problems that are associated with that. This will cuddle one very special little baby!

The 2-sided concept is intriguing. I love a nice firm surface, and I know babies should have one to. But I wonder if my toddler (someday) will want a cushier mattress.
