Do you have kids?  If so, you probably know all too well about using night lights.  At our house we had one in each of the kids rooms,  their bathroom and also in the hallway.  Just for those times where they may wake in the middle of the night.  We didn’t want them to run into a wall or a doorway, nor did we want them to blind themselves by turning on the overhead lights.   But the downside to all the nightlights in the house, we were constantly bumping into the hall way ones or having to unplug them so we could get the typical cleaning done.   But Snaplight has the perfect solution to that. They have come out with the Snaplight Guide – which they sent me to put to the test in our new home!

We have been renovating the house we purchased over the past few months.

Instead of purchasing nightlights for all the hallways, we have installed the Snaplight Guide.  These are very simple to install.  You just remove the cover from the outlet, and then snap on the Snaplight cover, and screw it back together – to hold it in place.  The connection on the inside where it snaps onto the outlet is what powers the LED lights.  This light only stays lit when the area is dark, thanks to the Light sensor found near the bottom corner of the cover.

Taking a photo of the hallway while dark to show the light proved to not be very easy, but hopefully this shows how well it lights up a dark hall.  With having 3 kids, I know someone is going to get up in the middle of the night, stumble down the hallway to go to the bathroom.  Now my worries of them running into a wall – while they’re still there, they have been decreased.  Also, the Snaplight Guide also looks way better on the wall, than a traditional night light.

You can purchase the Snaplight Guide through the SnapPower website.  While you’re there make sure to take a look at the SnapPower Charge.  This allows you to keep your outlets open while still being able to use a USB plug!
