I had an amazing Mother’s Day weekend…  Got beautiful gifts from the kids (both purchased and handmade), got to spend time with the family and celebrate peanuts birthday early, and had the hubby volunteering to let me just sit back and relax.  The downfall… the weather changed…. and I started to become stuffed up and sneezing.  One of the lovely gifts that Peanut gave me when she was born was a little bit of Light Bladder Leakage (AKA LBL).  And with the weather and the sneezing… I had the Sneeze-n-Pees.   Looked around the house and we had Nothing, So I sent the hubby to the store to get me something for my L.B.L.  And what did he come home with?  He came home with the bulky Period Pads!

In this case I really wanted a thin pad like “Poise“.  Ones that were specifically designed for Light Bladder Leakage.    What is Light Bladder Leakage? Light Bladder Leakage (LBL) is little leaks that can be triggered by everyday occurrences like coughing, sneezing, laughing and exercise.  Some common reasons for LBL are:
•Physical changes from childbirth, pregnancy, hysterectomy or menopause
•Being overweight
•Complications from surgery, stroke, or chronic diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson’s disease
•Bladder or urinary tract infections
•Bladder irritants (certain foods and beverages)

If you are one of those “lucky” women to have LBL, Poise is there for you!  Whether you leak a little when you laugh, or sometimes have the sudden urge to go, Poise gives you one less thing to worry about any time of the day or night.  Their pads are specifically designed for LBL, which makes them an easy choice for the 1 in 3 women with LBL.   Designed to move with your body, new Poise Thin-Shape pads feature Super Absorbent Material (SAM) and a Thin-Flex design for extraordinary protection that’s still 3x drier than period pads† to help you take care of leaks with confidence.

So what do we do with the unneeded Bulky Period Pads?  They are great in our Makeshift First Aid Kit.  Having a Mechanic for a husband, Sometimes he will cut himself in a way that a typical band aid will not cover. So we take a Period Pad and Some Tape (Either Electrical or Medical or Scotch) and wrap it around the cut!  Voila!   Shh He wont admit it, but He’s got a pad or two stored in his toolbox!

Make sure you take the moment to grab your sample of Poise today – and Say good Bye to your Period Pads!  How will you Recycle your UNUSED Period Pads?
