I am always trying to find things that can make life in the kitchen easier and I am always looking for something that can save me money. When I can find something that gives me both, I know I have found a winner. That’s the case with Debbie Meyer ® line of products.

When we started trying to buy a new house at the end of last year, we started to try to save money whenever we could. I would often buy fruit and vegetables at the produce market but I would find out that after a few days, the fresh produce would start to go bad already. While I was trying to save money by shopping at the produce market, which is much like a farmer’s market, when the food goes bad before we can eat it, it is wasting money.

I was extremely happy to try the The Debbie Meyer line of products. These products are great for the home cook and for people who are trying to save money. We started using the Debbie Meyer® GreenBags®. The Debbie Meyer® GreenBags® are designed to help preserve the freshness and are proven, by an independent lab, to give fresh fruit and vegetables a longer shelf life. These bags, made in the USA, are BPA-free. The bags can be used on the counter-top or in the fridge, where ever you would normally store the food. Each bag can be used 8 to 10 times and come in packs of 20.

In addition to being able to preserve fruit and vegetables longer, using the Debbie Meyer GreenBoxes™ allows me to preserve more fruit and vegetables, I can also preserve baked goods and snacks. The GreenBoxes™ can be used in fridge or pantry, but they are also resuable, microwave and top-rack dishwater safe. Sold in a 32 piece set, these boxes are stackable and nestable.

As part of making life easier in the kitchen, I have started using the Debbie Meyer Slow Cooker Liners™. These liners make cleaning up my slow cooker a breeze. When I start to make dinner in my slow cooker, I place one of the liners into the slow cooker. Take off the lid, push the bag in, smooth out the bottom and you are ready to cook. The liners fit most slow cooker sizes.
