This post is brought to you by Goldfish Swim School

We have been swimming at Goldfish Swim school for 6 months now, and both kids have grown tremendously as swimmers.  If you have joined us from day one, you will remember how unsure we were of Peanut’s and Lil C’s swimming ability.  If you’re new, then here is the first post from our GoldFish Swimschool Series.     Here is our 6 month Progress:

Lil C:  When he started classes 6 months ago, I was unsure of his swimming skills.  I knew he had the basic concept down.  We did work on learning to swim when he was 4, but did not put much else into practice after that.  So I enrolled him into the beginners Glider class.  That class he moved up 2 levels.   He has now progressed to the PRO level.  This level is more lap style swimming compared to past classes – because they are trying to fine tune their strokes.  He defiantly is worn out by the end of class- Realizing how much of a work out swimming can be

Peanut:  We started in the Mini 2 Class. This was children ages 16-35 Months, and a parent. Peanut loved this class.  The first few classes she was very clingy, but after that grew to enjoy it. Then she was promoted to Junior 1.  Her first few Junior 1 Classes she was confident and loved the class, but then we had the regression.  It took a good moth to get her over being deathly afraid to get in the pool.  Now she’s working back up her confidence level.  Every class she gets a little more comfortable.  I have noticed that she does know how to “play” the substitute teachers when she gets them. “No No No” when they try to get her to go under water… Ha!  I have nipped that in the bud, now if she gets a substitute, I let them know shes capable of getting her hair/face wet!

We would love for you to like your local Goldfish Swim School Locations on Facebook- Clarkston, Ann Arbor, Rochester, Canton, Farmington Hills, Macomb and Birmingham.

One reader will win a Jump Start Clinic from one of the 7 local Metro Detroit Locations

My kids love playing at the beach in the summer, and on any vacation, they always want the hotel to have a pool 🙂
