In my opinion, I have the worst hair to work with when it comes to styling.  It is long and straight.  Flat… No Volume… Boring Hair!  It seems like no matter how much hair spray I put in it… A curling Iron just DOESN’T do the job! I had heard rumors in the past that using Hot Rollers would hold so much better… So I put that to the test.  I am working with Flat Iron Experts to put their Hot Rollers to the Test.   They sent me the Babyliss Professional Electric Ceramic Ionic Hot Rollers!hot rollers 1

Being a Busy mommy,  I don’t always have a chance to dress up and go out.  So the rare occasions that come up where I can get all Dressied up… I go to Town!hot rollers 2This is me… as you can tell, my hair is pretty straight. There is a few whispys, but that’s just because I just brushed the knots out of it.

hot rollers 3It is not as easy as one may think to roll your hair on your own.  Maybe with more practice it will get easier, but boy did i have warm fingers! (NO burns though! Yea!)  To do this, I parted my hair – tied one side with a pony-tail holder and rolled the loose side.  It gave me a smaller section to work with – and also helped me make sure my natural part wasn’t going to affect the way the curls laid.

hot rollers 4After about 20 minutes of walking around the house and getting a light layer of make up on, I tested to see if my hair cooled off.  Once it was cool, I unrolled each of the rollers – and turned my head upside down and coated it with a nice layer of hair spray.  Just in hopes to keep the curl.  Being one of the first times I used this set, I noticed that it wasnt a TIGHT curl to the top of my head like I thought it would be – But I LOVED the finished style.  There is a large mixture of small and large rings – and I dont think I could have done it any nicer with a curling iron.

hot rollers 5As for the question of how well does my hair hold?   Well, i originally curled it around 11 am and this picture was taken closer to 6 pm.  That’s a record for me!  And even though it’s not as tight of a curl as it was when I just finished it – It still had a bunch of beautiful curls.

I am always on the look out for some good recommendations for Hair Spray or styling products that would help hold my hair longer!  Feel free to leave some of your favorites in the comments below.  Or if you have any hot roller tips!  I’m always looking for new and easier ways to style my hair.  And make sure to visit the Flat Iron Experts Website and see all the great products that they have to offer.
*I received the hot roller set mentioned above in exchange for this review. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

I love those clips… the pins hurt my head. I also have long hard to curl hair. I love the finished look and am encouraged that it looked as nice as it did 7 hours later!

I was so excited that it lasted so long – and that it still looked pretty good even after it started to fall…

WOW! Your hair looks amazing!!!! That looks fairly easy… wonder if it would work for my daughter, whose hair doesn’t like to hold a curl…? I’ll have to try! 🙂

It wasnt too bad – and if you’re curling someone else s hair, it’d probably be quicker… (It not always the easiest judging distance and stuff in a mirror! LoL

Pretty! I used to use rollers all the time, but I stopped and forgot about them. Maybe I should start doing it again! I always loved the way they curled my hair and I usually got two days out of it, plus my son would love seeing them on my head 🙂 haha…

I love how beautiful your hair is after rolled. Of course, it’s pretty before, but GORGEOUS after!! That pic of you with the rollers in your hair, well, shhhhh…… HILARIOUS! I’m sure I look the same though….
