We are constantly on the go. And with it being the holiday season, all our running around has been multiplied! If I know we’re not going to be home all day, we try to make sure the heat is not running for no reason. So I run to the thermostat before we leave, and kick it down a few degrees. And then when I get home, kick it back up and tell the kids to just throw on a heavier sweatshirt. Honeywell sent me an early christmas gift this year. They sent us a Honeywell Lyric T Series WiFi Thermostat for our new house. 
The Lyric T Series Wi-Fi Thermostat Features:
Geofencing: This updated geofencing feature saves you money by putting the thermostat in an energy saving mode when someone leaves. It takes it out of energy saving mode by detecting when the first person to return, and starts to make the home comfortable before they arrive.
Scheduling: The Lyric T5 provides you with the ability to create a traditional seven-day schedule. This helps save money and energy when you know the everyone will be out of the house.
Smart Alerts: The Lyric T5 features smart alerts for extreme temperatures or humidity inside the home. It also reminds you when filters need to be changed and much more. Honestly, who couldn’t use a reminder?
Our Thoughts on the Lyric T5 Thermostat
With all this crazy going on it was nice to know that the house was going to be regulated in temperature. We’re already shelling out so much money on the buying a house, so I love knowing that my energy bill wont cost me a small fortune. I was a little skeptical about having a thermostat that knows when you’re on your way home. We haven’t been able to put this feature to the test much because we’re not fully moved in. With that being said, we have kept the temperature at a constant temperature. Its warm enough to keep the Michigan chill out of the air, but not hot enough to consider wearing swim trunks around the house.
