Activision must have read my mind lately. A few years back they stopped producing Guitar Hero – My favorite Game. I typically am not a Video game person, but I am a music lover and this game satisfied my love for playing music. (Especially since I could not figure out how to play an actual guitar) So when I was walking through the stores a few months back, I was so excited to see that Guitar Hero was back on the shelves. I put it on my wish list for Santa, and to my surprise, Activision hear my wants. They sent me a copy for the PS4 to put to the test.
When you open the box, everything is there waiting for you. The PS4 comes complete with a USB wireless adapter, Guitar, Straps, Game and a set of batteries. (Thank you Activision for throwing batteries in the box! There are many Christmas mornings that I remember not being able to play with a toy because we didn’t have the right batteries)
A little from Guitar Hero: Guitar Hero Live is here. FreeStyleGames have reinvented the legendary Guitar Hero franchise, with two innovative new gameplay modes and an all-new guitar controller. GH Live mode puts you onstage, looking out: you get a heart-stopping first-person perspective as a real crowd reacts to the notes you play. Or switch over to GHTV – a playable music video network, where you can play along in real time, discover new music, and challenge friends around the world.
I think that Peanut was more excited then me to get this game! I just get it put together and she took control over the guitar. She was trying to figure out how to get all the buttons to work, but unfortunately, the guitar was a little too big for her to operate both sides of the guitar at once. But it is a great game for older children and adults to play. Even sitting and watching others play can be just as exciting as playing yourself!
If you’ve played Guitar Hero in the past, then you will be quite surprised with the changes they made. No longer is it just 4 buttons with different colors, you are now working with 6 buttons. When you look at the screen you’ll either see a “White” Pick, a “Black” pick or a half white half black oval. The ovals are for holding the top and bottom row down together and the colored picks correlate to which row you play. I personally like playing the Live Mode. It reminds me more of the older games. The GHTV mode is like you’re strumming along right on a music tv station. It is song after song after song. I know that I have managed to get at least 2 other people hooked on this game! Woot Woot, now I will have friends to come hang out and play video games with me!
You can find this game in your Local Retailers or on Amazon.
