Last week the hubby and I were able to have a Date Night.  Lil Miss was at her moms house and Lil C was with his dad for the week.  And my Uncle volunteered to watch Peanut. What did we go do?  We went to see Guardians of the Galaxy.guardians

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy’s fate in the balance.

I’m not much of a Comic Book person, So at first I thought it was going to be a movie that I wasn’t going to enjoy.  But I was wrong.  Not only did the story line keep me entertained, but I loved the Characters.   My favorite character had to be Groot.  And if you loved Groot, you couldnt help buy fall in love with Rocket.  They are partners – and in the end Friends.   Groot has a VERY limited Vocabulary (“I am Groot”) But even with the limitations, Groot and Rocket are able to hold conversations.   This movie is perfect for everyone!  Would I bring lil C to see it? I believe he would be entertained – and that the adult references will just go over his head. But personally  I would wait until it came out on DVD – that will give him a few months more to mature (He is only 7 right now) But I know his dad will take him the next time he has him.

This is such a good movie that I could go and see again in the theater. It has so much action and the music is great in this movie.
