Can you believe it… It has been a whole year since Peanut and Little C have started taking lessons at the Macomb Goldfish Swim School.  They have both come a long way since day One.

Little C’s Experience at Goldfish Swim SchoolIn the beginning Lil C had some swim knowledge, but we were not sure of his overall ability of swimming.  The first class he was promoted two levels.  Once in his correct level, he started to fine tune his swimming skills.   During classes, I get to watch him and how he swims. One of his biggest faults was that he Slaps the water instead of cutting through it with his hands.  This is one skill that I have watched him over the year start to fine tune.  And I know once he gets it down pat, he will have better endurance.  He has now made it to level Pro2.  This is one of the highest classes that Goldfish Swim school offers.  His teachers are always enthusiastic and encouraging.  They do well with praising the good, and giving tips for the skills they are needing to improve on. (Teacher Interview can be found here)

Peanuts Experience at Goldfish Swim School.

Oh my gosh.  I remember that first day. She refused to un-wrap her legs from me.  She was okay being in the water, as long as she was completely attached to me.    It took a few lessons, but she finally began to become comfortable and looked forward to her class.  (December 2016).  She promoted to the Junior levels in March and was doing great on her own.  But something happened where she completely went through a regression.  (When Children Regress) There was no real reason that we could find for why she went through the regression she did, but she cried when it came to class time.  She wouldn’t do anything with the class.  It wasn’t until Nico was able to get in and help her 1 on 1.

I am proud to say that she has completely over come her fear and is now eager to swim once again. She even got promoted to junior 2, and is progressing wonderfully!  She will even swim on her own!  This mama couldn’t be any happier.

my favorite memory is when my child swam her first time. While a short distance she came up with the biggest smile and the staff is so attentive and nice. We love goldfish!

My favorite is watching my daughter be fearless, always dunking her face under the water. She pops her little face up covered in wet hair so excited.
