What kind of Holiday Traditions do you have when it comes to your Christmas Cards?  Every year my family gets together for Thanksgiving and exchanges cards in person.  So Usually the week of Thanksgiving I am running around like crazy trying to find cards that fit my personality.  People often suggested that I look at creating custom cards… So I decided to look into it.  This year I came across Minted.

A little about minted: Minted holds monthly design challenges for stationery, invitations, calendars, and other categories and all graphic designers are invited to enter. The Minted community selects the best designs in a highly competitive process, which gives us a top selection of the freshest, finest cards in the world. Winning designers earn cash prizes, a place in the Minted collection, and commissions on all sales of their designs. (minted)

I have had the opporutnity to work with Minted this Holiday Season in selecting Christmas cards.

I have just recently started doing customized cards…and there are so many companies that offer cards that it is sometimes hard to know just how the cards are going to turn out. One of my favorite thing about Mint is that you can view the way your card is going to look before you order it. It seriously took me a couple days to decide what card I wanted.

There were too many cute ones to choose from…then once I decided what card style we liked…time to find a picture. Luckly once I decided on the card my husband took some photos of our son just for this holiday! The ordering process was super easy. It only took a couple minutes to type in all my information and hit submit. After you submit the order they inform you that a proof will be sent for you to approve and only after you approve it will they start the printing process.

After the proof was okayed, Printing started just after, and they sent me confirmation when it was shipped – with tracking number to let me know estimated time of arrival.  I was getting nervous… I usually have my holiday cards done by Thanksgiving, and it said that these cards weren’t going to arrive until thanksgiving… but… With a little luck, they came a day early! 😀  Lil C and I opened them and thought they were perfect!  These cards were printed on a high quality card stock.  It wasn’t the typical GLOSSY looking cards, but more of a matte looking card.  This was perfect because it had the warming holiday feel to it.

I look forward to the next holiday… I have found a great Holiday Card Printing Company!  Make sure to follow Minted on Facebook and Twitter for all the great Minted News.
