Before putting your house on the market

Also try to make sure you have a neutral color palate on the walls! Lighter colors make the rooms appear bigger. This works great for small rooms. If you have a Large room, you can get away with a darker shade. I know when I am looking at houses, I have a hard time picturing how a room would look if I know the colors are going to clash with our furniture. You don’t have to do a sterile all white color, but tans and soft tones like that work great!
After your house goes on the market
If you have kids, you will understand how hard it is to keep your house Showing ready. But these are some of the things that we do to keep everything ready for showing.
1) Make sure all your dishes are done and not sitting in the sink. I will admit, there has been times where everyone will be home, and the sink will somehow get piled up. I LOVE having a dishwasher for this reason alone. Just load all the dishes in the dishwasher, and voila. They’re gone! Now your sink will be clean!
2) Involve the kids in cleaning! For some strange reason Peanut likes to clean up spills and some messes (just not her toys). As I was straightening the other room making sure all the tables & decor were dust free, I caught peanut grabbing some of the Bounty Paper Towel and our kid friendly cleaner and started wiping down the cabinets.
You can find the Necessities like Tide, Charmin, Bounty and much more at your local Walmart. How do you make sure your home is Ready to be put on the market?

Great tips! We’ll be putting out house on the market later this year so I’ll definitely keep these in mind!
