I have been asked quite often by friends and family how doing the Nutrisystem Plan really is.   So we start to talk about how the program is working for me…. How it is pretty much laid out for you and all you need to do is add in your own proteins and veggies…. And I tell them how excited I am because I hit one of my first goals…  Then we get into the topic of the meals and exactly how they taste compared to homemade or restaurant foods. So I tell them… for what it is, it’s actually pretty good.Week-7-food

By far, breakfasts are my favorite meals. There were only a couple things that I wasn’t really fond of, but that was oatmeal, and I’m not much of an oatmeal person. But I will tell you that I LOVE the Double chocolate Muffins. Who would complain about chocolate for breakfast?   So far I have not found a lunch that I didn’t like. Well the steak melts weren’t 100% my favorite because I don’t like mushrooms, but other than that… even the steak melt was yummy. With it being winter though, I did stock up on some of the chicken noodle soups. When it comes to winter, I am all about warm meals for lunch.

Dinners though, I have found that I am a little more picky on. I will say I loved all the frozen foods that I received. Especially the turkey sausage pizza. If I could, I would probably have pizza every night, but then there wouldn’t be much variety and I would probably become bored with it quickly. For the shelf stable meals, I have fallen in love with the Hearty beef stews. When I have the stews for dinner I use my smart carb with dinner and have a small piece of bread. This is one of my winter comfort foods. Yummy!Week-7-food-2
For deserts, I have been craving the Soft Pretzels. I always add mustard to my soft pretzels.  Did you that mustard is a Freebie?  it is so low on the calorie count, that it is technically an Unlimited food. Week-7-food (2)
