This past holiday weekend we closed up the Cottage for the summer.  Thankfully, because of work schedules, we were able to spend an extra day up there.  Waking up every morning and being able to overlook the lake, is a beautiful thing.Because of how the weekends this summer were, we didn’t get to go Up North quite as much as we wanted to.  Even though our trip is meant for a little R&R, we still had a lot of work.

With it being the end of season we needed to stock up on our wood.

That way when we open it back in the spring, we will have wood to keep the stove going.  This was the first year that I got to go to the Amish Wood Mill to help load our truck.  Their scraps help heat the house on chilly nights.

This year we gave the garage a coat of paint.  It needed it, as the siding was looking a little rough.  But before we could paint, we had to make sure that the outside walls were power washed clean.  The guys sprayed the walls down with with some Mean Green Auto & Garage De-greaser, then used the power washer to wash it off.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Garage or house sparkle as much as it did that day!

Even though you see the fun part of the pontoon, when we pulled it out of the water it was full of slime and muscles and muck.    Another time where the Auto & Garage de-greaser came in handy.  One of us scraped all the muscles off with a paddle, and the rest of us sprayed and scrubbed and hosed it off. And last but not least, there is a lot of wood and cement up at the cottage.  You’d be surprised how slimy the steps can get when you’re not using them daily.

Mean Green has products that are perfect for all your outdoor needs.  Our favorite by far is the Auto & Garage De-greaser.
