For years I have heard how great Dyson Vacuums were.  And for years, I have asked Santa to bring me one each year.  Well this year my wishes came true.  I got the Dyson DC59 Motorhead to put to the test.   Vacuuming has been one of the chores that everyone in the house has had to do at one time or another. It has to get done a couple times a week because we have Tach – and he’s in a shedding stage (again).  And now that we have Peanut, we are making extra sure that the floors stay clean.   But sometimes the messes we come across are minor enough where they could just use a spot cleaning – That’s where the DC59 Comes in Handy!Dyson_2A little about the DC59 Motorhead:  The DC59 Motorhead cordless vacuum cleaner is powered by the Dyson digital motor V6. This 350W motor, 2 Tier Radial™ cyclones and a re-engineered nickel manganese cobalt battery combine to provide powerful suction. The latest motorized head with a direct drive motor located inside the brush bar drives into carpet pile to remove ground-in dirt.dyson_1

Dyson_4I looked like a kid at Christmas anxiously waiting to play with her new toy when this came in the mail!  I couldn’t wait to get home from work to be able to vacuum the house.  Wait… Did I really say that?  I never thought I would be excited to try out a vacuum!  The first thing we did was Vacuum our room.  At first we used our old Vacuum.  Thinking that our regular vacuum did it’s job, we vacuumed over the same area with the Dyson DC59 Motorhead!  I couldn’t Believe how much more Stuff we pulled up!  The photo above was what we picked up AFTER using our full size vacuum.Dyson_3Some of the features that I love about The DC59 Motorhead:

  • It works using the Ball system for piviting.
  •  It makes getting around odd edges so much easier.
  • It also has a wide head -having such flat sides, it gets under the counters and along the corners more efficiently than traditional vacuums.
  • You can easily change out the vacuum heads depending on what you need.
  • the long pink tube is actually removable – incase you need to do some Up Close vacuuming.

I LOVE the weight of the vacuum – It is SUPER LIGHT!  This makes it easy for Lil C to go grab the vacuum and clean up any of his messes.  Also with the extra light weight and how easily it is to maneuver, I can vacuum with Peanut in my arms.  She LOVES to help mama and daddy Vacuum the house.

We have our vacuum stored in the laundry room – mounted on the wall.  Even though for the first two months we didn’t have it mounted,  it is so much easier  now.  It is out of the way – and easy access for each of the family members.  And there is no Second guessing where it was left last!

Hubby has fallen in Love with the Dyson DC59 Motorhead.  At first he was like “Blah, that’s a vacuum!  The canister is too small … We’ll have to empty it constantly…. ”  Now he tells me how much he loves the ease of the using the Vacuum. And how it is perfect for the quick messes that we find all over the house!Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog.
