So far this summer, I have realized that we’re going through more laundry than we did during the year.  Between the kids wanting to go outside and play in the water and me starting a Summer Body workout routine… there is at least an extra load of laundry.  That extra load typically ends up being towels.
Downy_1As you can imagine, working out during the summer months means extra heat…. which means a little extra sweating… Which means stinky towels.   After this past work out, I teased lil C and Peanut  that I was going to hug them  – but they both run and hid!  Guess that means it is time to do Laundry.  Downy_2Typically I just throw my dirty laundry in the wash, set the temperature and the bulk of the clothes, add my detergent and hit start.   But I was recently sent a bottle of Downy Fabric Conditioner to add to my routine. With all we do to protect our clothes, why not do something as simple as pour Downy Fabric Conditioner into every load of laundry? With the simple filling of a cap, you can say goodbye to stretching, fading, and pilling, giving your clothes a longer, happier life.Downy_3

There are a few ways that Downy Fabric Conditioner Protects Clothes!

  • Instead of losing their shape, clothes bounce back to their store-bought form.
  • Colors stay true and resist fading.
  • Towels are protected from pilling and fuzz.
  • Fabrics are softened for added comfort.

I was actually quite pleased with the way the wash has been turning out since we started using Downy Fabric Conditioner.  I actually like the science behind the fabric protection.  Did you know that when your machine washes your clothes,  garments pull stretch, and rub together.   This is where Downy comes in.  It conditions, strengthens, and lubricates each fiber to protect clothing from the friction, and agitation of typical washing cycle.  Did you know that you can also help your clothes last longer by turning garments inside out, and washing soft fabrics like cotton on the gentle cycle.

So what did the kids think about the Downy Conditioner?  downy_5

Well, it passed Peanuts Approval!  The stink is gone!    I love knowing that Not only do my clothes smell better, but I am taking better care of the fabric – which will help everything last longer.

Downy Fabric Conditioner is available at Walmart and Walmart.com for everyday low prices. Learn more and shop for it here.
