Are you looking for some DIY ideas for your wedding? For the M.S.M. wedding, we plan on doing a lot of the Reception set up on our own. All the centerpieces will be put together by myself and my bridal team. And we created our own thank you favors for our attendants.
Something Blue Wedding Shoes:
Every bride needs something new, something old, something borrowed, and something blue. The first three are the easy ones—jewelry, a dress, and flowers perfectly fit into those categories. Something blue though?? Why not color the bottom of your shoes! It’s a fun, easy way to have something blue on you all day that can stay nice and hidden if blue really isn’t your thing. To dye the bottom of your shoes, all you need to do is clean them, paint them with white nail polish and then paint again with the blue of your choice. Let them dry and voila—your something blue will be right at your toes! If you don’t want to color the whole sole, add blue rhinestones for some sparkle and fun.
Unique Centerpieces:
To add a little personal touch to your decorations, why not create a centerpiece that is not only beautiful, but meaningful to you and your fiance. If you are wine connoisseurs, why not fill vases with wine corks from your favorite bottles? Don’t have that many left over corks? Ask local restaurants or hotels to save some corks for you. Want some extra flair? Buy a small glass cylinder to put in the middle and add a small candle, creating the perfect romantic mood. Wine not your thing? Fill glasses with colored sand and tie ribbons or burlap around the center that showcase your personal style. Having a beach themed wedding? Collect seashells and sea glass to put into clear containers for the ideal beachy feeling. Still need some extra light? Fill flatter, rounder serving dishes with water to float tea candles and your goodies from the beach!
