I almost forgot how expensive it can get when you have an infant/toddler. The constant need of Diapers, and Wipes, and Clothes…. Not to mention, you need to feed them! And then there are the baby showers that you get invited to because all your friends are starting families…. Trying to find a one stop shop that is cost effective is a must. That’s why we tend to do a majority of our shopping at Sam’s Club. Not only do they have what we need, but they have things in BULK! Score! And did you know that September is Sam’s Club Baby Month? I didn’t know that until just recently.
If you cant tell, Peanut knows what to do when we get to the store. I love Sam’s Club carts, they are wide enough to have two little ones side by side – and each have their own buckle. But when it’s only Peanut, she sits in the middle. We buckle her with one set of straps, and she sits there trying to buckle the other set. Keeps her occupied for a few moments. Today we decided to make use out of our monthly Sam’s Club trip and not only get the staples we needed for our house, but to also pick up a little something for the 2 upcoming baby showers I am attending.
We always take the same path when we go through Sam’s club. The first thing that we came across was the clothing section that they have. I will have to admit, Sam’s club has some really great prices for their clothes. I figured I would take advantage of the prices and look for some clothes for Peanut as well as the other babies that will be joining the family. I swear, all little girls must be in Peanut’s size, because I could only find 1 outfit for her. But i did find something for my cousin’s little girl, so I was ecstatic!
Next stop is their meat Section. We always make sure to stock up on meat when we come to Sam’s Club. They are the best price around town for meat. If you cant tell, everyone else must think so as well…. Look how picked over the hamburger meat is.
Their fruit display always looks amazing! As a treat we pick up some Pineapple for the hubby and kids. If Peanut had her way, she’d eat it for breakfast lunch and dinner EVERY DAY!
I am a firm believer in you can not have too many books. Both the older 2 kids love stopping and looking through the books every time we’re through – to see if there’s a new title that peaks their interest. But we only had peanut today, so I got to look at all the little kids books. I even came across one that was titled Good Night Michigan. I’m in LOVE! Not very often do I find things that feature the state we’re in.
This was probably the most important thing that we came in for with this trip! I let myself run really low on diapers and wipes, and we are planning on going out of town for the Holiday weekend. Remind me, I will have to let my Sister-In-Law know about the great prices on formula and diapers! It really adds up if you’re just buying the smaller sizes when you need them.
I think Peanut is happy with all that we’ve found at Sam’s club – not only for her, but also for her new cousins to be!
