Now that the Lil guy is growing up, I am feeling more comfortable leaving him home with a sitter – even though it may just be family.  It can just become a pain calling Everyone just to get a no from all but the 21st person you make  call to.   With Sitter Scout, you can easily find a sitter for those Date nights.

A little about Sitter Scout:   Have you ever needed a little time for yourself – for a date, a night with friends, a meeting, a workout, even a sunny walk in the park — but found that it was such a hassle to get a sitter that you just didn’t bother? Join the club.   Sure, you have sitters. But by the time you text one, wait for a response, then call another, lose a day waiting for the call back, email someone else…you know the drill. So you stay home. Being all-parent, all-the-time leaves you feeling like a one-dimensional human being — not to mention run-down and stressed out! That’s not the best frame of mind when it comes to parenting.  At SitterScout, we think that “me time” allows you to fill yourself up, refresh, recharge and can ultimately make you a happier, better parent. There are millions of sites out there about kids and family. This one is for YOU. Our mission at SitterScout is to simplify and accelerate your sitter logistics (babysitters, petsitters, housesitters, whatever you’ve got!) so that you will take the time you need.  (Sitter Scout)

Every mom needs a little ME time.  I know that it is hard to justify calling all your sitters one by one just so you can go shopping with out the kiddos.  But now with Sitter Scout, it is Super Easy to Schedule your babysitters.  All you have to do is Log into Sitter Scout, and click Schedule a sitter.  This will lead you to a screen that asks “job title”, What day and times, and a brief description of the job.  You can add different rounds of sitters.  Sitter Scout will send out a text message to your sitters, the first to respond with a yes will get the job.  If no one responds yes, then it will go to the next round.  Hopefully at least one  of your sitters will respond with a yes.  Once you get a Yes, then you have no worries about not having someone be able to watch your precious  lil one!  Sitter Scout is great for that Date Night.  It is also a great way to find someone so you can have some Mommy Alone time.  I know every now and then I want time away from my lil guy (especially when it comes to doing birthday or Christmas Shopping.) I know that I will be using Sitter Sc out the next time I need someone to watch Lil C.

Sounds like a great site! My husband and I have been talking about having a date night but we hate to ask our parents to watch the little ones because they help out during the day when we work so this is a great option! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, I had never heard of this service before. I think you are so right about the calling around. You do have to call about 21 people sometimes before you ever even get a response. What a time saver this new service will be!

Wow, I don’t need sitters anymore, but I wish there would have been sites like this when I did need one. (I wish there would have been internet then, too! LOL)

    Thanks for sharing!
