Ever since Last Christmas, when I received a Rudolph Build-A-Bear, both my kids have expressed their interest in wanting to go to Build-A-Bear Workshop. So when I was offered the chance to host a Build-A-Bear Workshop Party for my kids and a few of their close friends, I jumped at the chance. What better way to celebrate Peanuts Birth – and Lil C becoming a big brother than a party with some of his closest friends.
There use to be a Build-A-Bear workshop in one of my local malls, but it closed Years ago. So now the closest one is a good 30 minutes away. I thought that this may scare some of our friends away (some of them had to drive almost an hour to get there) but it didn’t. Lil C, Peanut and I were the first to arrive. We were greeted by Kelly, Our Party leader. She Got us our Name tags and explained to me how the party was going to work. We gave each child a budget of 18.00 for their animal – with or without clothing. Shortly after, Everyone else arrived – including Miss Z, Mr D, Miss A, Mr E and Mr J. Everyone got a name tag and then away we went picking out our animals. Miss Kelly lead the kids around the store – helping them pick out the animal they wanted. I picked out a bear for Lil Miss – since she wasn’t able to make it to the party. And since Peanut is only a couple weeks old, we had help picking out the perfect stuffed animal for her. He deemed that it was soft enough for a little one.
After that, the kids all sat on the floor so they could give their animals the personalities they wanted. Everyone wanted a Kind, Funny, Silly, Smart and Happy animal – and even Mr D wanted his to have stinky feet! Then we all went to the Stuffing machine and gave our animals shape. The kids were allowed to push the foot pedal to fill the animals up. And as they were doing so, Miss Kelly played “I Spy” with them. Even two of youngest ones were able to enjoy filling up their bears. After everyone was filled, everyone named their new friend. They also got their hearts for their Build-A-Bear animals and filled them with Love. While Miss Kelly was closing the bears up for everyone – they played a Trivia Game. Even some of the adults got into it – answering the Kids movie questions.
Then we got to the end of the party. This is where everyone got a home for their new friend – and their birth certificates. While the Certificates were printing, Miss Kelly brought out crayons for the kids to color their houses.
All the kids had a Blast. This is the first time that any of them have ever been to a Build-A-Bear Party. Even us parents had a great time watching the kids laugh and smile. It made all the planning worth it.
Make sure you consider Build-A-Bear for your next party! And right now, when a party is booked by June 30 and hosted by July 31, you will receive a $25 Bear Buck$ gift card (with Coupon)!

what a great way to celebrate the new baby’s arrival!! we LOVE build a bear 🙂
My oldest daughters Daisy troop went to Build A Bear for a fun trip. I called and set it up over the phone. At the time there were special Girl Scout Bears and the bears even were wearing the same Daisy smock just like the girls. Each girl was able to stuff bathe and name their bear. (My daughter named gets Daisy) The girls had such a great time bringing their bears to life. If the BAB in the mall closest to me had not closed down I would have booked her party there. For those that are not close BAB should offer BAB on the go, and come to you.
r===thats an awsome way to celebrate i remember when i got my builder bear
