I love products from my state of Michigan. I love seeing all these fantastic companies that I don’t always know about because I stay local so often. Brownwood Acres is a company from Michigan area that started in 1945 as a roadside stand, that sold honey and other produce from the families farm. Through the years the company has grown into much more then a roadside stand and offers delicious products.
I was sent three different bags of cherries from Brownwood Acres to try. Of course I couldn’t wait for my husband to get home from work to try. My husband is a cordial cherry lover, so I knew once he seen these I would have a problem with them sticking around in the house to long. I tried the Milk Chocolate covered cherries first. They are so delicious. They don’t leave that weird film some chocolate covered fruits do. I also love that the cherries come from Traverse City, Michigan which is the cherry capital of the world.
My kids are huge fans of any kind of dried fruits. They think that they are eating candy because I always have told them it was candy. I am not really lying, right? So I let them each try these as an after school snack and both of them loved them! I had to divide into smaller bags for them because I know if they are left alone with a pound of dried cherries, they are going to eat them all. Which they did keep asking for more. I have started sending them with my oldest for school snack mixed with a few different kinds of nuts to make a delicious trail mix.
The Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries are my absolute favorite. I love cherries, I love dark chocolate and the combination of the two is fabulous! I plan on buying more of these to put out for the holidays and maybe even a few smaller bags as gifts for friends, family and even teachers.
All of these three bags are available in multiple sizes including:
- 1/2 pound
- 1 pound
- 5 pounds
