Babies Change our lives in more than one way… It is a great feeling being a mom … Well for me it was – until I looked in the mirror. I knew I wouldn’t be toothpick thin – but I still looked like I was pregnant – even after I had Lil C. I looked like that for quite a while… I just couldn’t get the energy or the motivation to work out… But Now I realize what I missed. Helene Bryne founded BeFit-Mom for new moms just like I was.
A little bit about Helen and BeFit-Mom: BeFit-Mom, founded by perinatal exercise specialist and author Helene Byrne, is dedicated to helping women stay fit and healthy during and after their pregnancies, and to inspiring and motivating women to lead their entire families to better health and wellness. The birth of her son inspired her to specialize in prenatal and postpartum fitness and exercise. Drawing on her knowledge of Pilates, dance, and classic fitness techniques, she created a unique system of exercise that quickly, safely, and effectively restores the body after pregnancy and childbirth. Both her book, “Exercise After Pregnancy: How to Look and Feel Your Best” (Celestial Arts, 2001) and DVD, “Bounce Back Fast!: Post Natal Core Conditioning” (BeFit-Mom, 2005) have received wide acclaim in the fitness and birthing communities, and with women everywhere. Even thought I am not a NEW NEW mom, She does have a lot of stretches and techniques that even moms of a year or two can use. My set came complete with a Band, DVD and Book. My favorite thing is the book. With the diagrams, I can make sure I am in the perfect form… As opposed to trying to pause and play the dvd… I know that form is one of the most important things when it comes to exercise. There are 3 sets of work outs on one dvd… There is the beginners… which features breathing and stretching techniques – to help get your body back into pre-baby shape!
